The 2021-2022 winners!

For the 2021-2022 Scholarships, the committee chose 2 winners from a number of very worthy entries.

For Visual Arts – Julia Belleghem

Julia attended Erin District High School finishing her grade 12 year in the Independent Arts Emphasis Course. She has volunteered at the Milton Sportsplex and Orton Community Association as well as keeping busy with own commissions and digital artwork sales.

Julia has been accepted at Algonquin College in the Illustration and Concept Art Program. She hopes it will allow her to share her ideas and inspirations and to use her creativity to its fullest.

For Visual Arts – Diana SiIla

Diana attended Humberview Secondary School showing initiative, talent and leadership. Despite a difficult year during pandemic shutdowns, Diana helped design, develop and create an incredible mural for the Visual Arts Hallway.

Diana has been accepted in to OCADu and will take the Cross Disciplinary Art: Life Studies with hopes to become a Tattoo artist with a secondary goal of fashion design and possibly education.

Congratulations to Julia and Diana!
